Big Bang Orchestra: Jupiter includes a rich set of articulations, with up to five velocity layers, variations of short notes, marcatos, real legatos, several dynamic articulations (sfz, sffz, various crescendos and decrescendos), flutter tonguing, trills, rips, and fast repetitions.

All six musicians performed together and were recorded with an array of microphones including individual close mics for each instrument, mid mics, Decca tree (left-center-right), surround, and high-surround outriggers.
